Overview
EN 301 549 is the European standard for ICT accessibility. EU Directive 2016/2102 makes it the basis for accessibility in public-sector procurement across the EU, and its web requirements incorporate WCAG 2.1 Level AA. As with Section 508 in the US, an EN 301 549 statement is routinely requested in European public tenders. ControlBird builds its interfaces toward WCAG 2.1 AA, which EN 301 549 references; it has not completed a formal third-party EN 301 549 evaluation.
